Recent Client Feedback: Process Evaluation

Process Evaluation – How We Make Reflection Feel Refreshing (and Surprisingly Fun)

Let’s be honest: the words “process evaluation” don’t always get hearts racing. But at The Evaluator, we do things a little differently. We’ve built a process that’s not only super effective – it’s also enjoyable to take part in.

That’s because we believe that reflection doesn’t have to be dry. In fact, when done right, it can be energising, clarifying, and even fun. Our process evaluations are designed to help teams see what’s working, where things could be smoother, and how to get more from the brilliant work they’re already doing – without waiting until a final report to make change happen.

We work closely with organisations to map how projects are delivered in real life – not just what’s written in the bid. We explore decisions, delivery, communications, and the all-important people dynamics that make things tick (or occasionally stall). But we do it with warmth, curiosity and the kind of thoughtful questions that help people open up and reflect honestly. As one of our clients put it:

“I thought this reflection process was excellent.”
– Charles Vivian, CEO, Community Forest Trust

And we don’t stop at understanding – we translate insights into action. Our evaluations give you clear, practical recommendations that strengthen delivery, boost morale, and make the most of your resources. Whether it’s streamlining a process, improving team communication, or spotting opportunities for innovation, we help teams feel more confident, connected, and future-ready.

So yes – it is process evaluation. But not as you know it. It’s lighter, more human, and surprisingly refreshing. Because when people feel heard, supported and understood, that’s when the real improvement starts.

Meet the Team – Luke

Meet Luke – Our Technical Dynamo with a Creative Twist

If there’s one person who can code a dashboard by day and DJ under laser lights by night, it’s Luke Littler – our Evaluation Technical Officer and resident all-rounder when it comes to anything tech, troubleshooting or downright clever.

Luke’s journey to The Evaluator is a brilliant mix of self-taught brilliance and formal study. With a Distinction-level HND in Computing under his belt (and a BEng Software Engineering degree on the horizon), he’s got the academic grounding. But it’s his drive and initiative that really set him apart. He taught himself Ruby on Rails, launched a successful commission-based website, and is constantly looking for ways to sharpen his skills and simplify the digital side of evaluation.

When he’s not building web tools, creating Excel dashboards, or getting stuck into cyber security fixes, Luke brings a whole different energy to the table – quite literally. As a DJ, he pairs music with laser visuals to create unforgettable nights, and he’s booked monthly for club gigs. That same creativity feeds into his technical work too – finding imaginative solutions, designing slick interfaces, and helping our clients make sense of complex data through clear, visual reporting.

Luke’s also no stranger to customer-facing roles – he’s worked in vehicle support, customer service, and parts coordination, which means he knows how to talk tech in a way that’s friendly, helpful, and completely human. He’s calm under pressure, great at simplifying problems, and absolutely committed to getting the job done right.

At The Evaluator, we love a hybrid mind – someone who can switch from back-end logic to front-end finesse in a heartbeat. Luke’s that person. Tech-savvy, people-smart and endlessly inventive, he’s the one we turn to when we need to make our evaluation systems sing.
